Conceptual Issue of the Forum

Incorrect ideas can drastically affect someone’s competitive performance if they do not have a personal coach who is not able to explain the effect of implementations, “NEW Things” from an unknown source of information.
The cost of one trip for a “unsuccessful competitive performance” is about $1,000.00, time to recover after this trip is about to 1-3 months (if someone can recognize what the actual cause of the problem is). I do not provide any advice before the initial meeting with my new student. And this initial consultation is basically related to the cleaning of “ALL trash collected over the years from unknown sources.”
This is the only way to move from 520-540 AP up 25 points over three months.
If someone does not understand the significance of this impact, his level of consulting is to help recreational shooters (to help them kill their time), entertain others and support sales if your “wise” ideas are not working.
This is the conceptual issue of the forum. This is what is holding many motivated shooters from years of progress!

The human mind is very receptive instrument. This is why elite athletes do not participate too often on TT; check their rate of posts (John Bickar joined in May, 2004 and only made 140 posts in 7 years).

The implying message of, “we are free source o f information” is not really free.
Take off few a elements of real conceptual ideas (fundamentals for example) and you can “help” for years without any actual progress.

Maslow’s hierarchy of needs

“What do I wish to accomplish here on TT? What does any person wish to do in any forum? Seek answers? Help others? Is this a stretch for you to understand, Russ”
What does any person wish to do in any forum?

Some of them can try to satisfy own ego , or look for personal satisfaction or personal recognition it is easy to see to everyone who is aware of “Maslow pyramid values”.

Providing “help “from level of 530-540  is to share knowledge of your own “issues, mostly related to the level of development of fundamentals” without any knowledge how to fix it.

Reality is a Little Bit Different

It is interesting to see every day visitors from twelve to thirteen different countries. They do not ask questions and they do not follow specific topics or ideas. At the current moment, I see my ability to help motivated Olympic style target shooters to achieve their goal by providing personal monitoring of performance after the eight hours of initial training. My mission is to help particular athletes to achieve the peak of their personal performance in Olympic style pistol shooting. I am facing the situation when the athlete is disclosing that they have talent in target shooting, which is why they chose the discipline. Unfortunately, reality is a little bit different from their point of view.
First of all, if we take a look on his initial performance, they are far away from the attribute of talent, score wise. Second, it is better to hear from someone else who will tell you that you have talent. Third, the definition of talent from the national team coach’s view will be close to the property of stress control. If a particular athlete cannot proceed through the final selection out of the best national team members toward the team they would like to participate in international matches, the value of this particular athlete will decrease, even if he is capable to perform over 570 AP during practice time.
I divided my approach to help athletes in three steps. The first step is the development of average 565 AP in a regular basis. The reasonable amount of time from three months (depends on initial level of performance). Second, the advanced level of the practical development of different stress control applications is related to the objective to match the practice score with the competitive score. Third, the master class is the final stage of development related to the same routine as any athlete will face at the time he will be accepted to the selection of the national team selection.
All applications are based on personal experience over the 20 years of participation in competitions with the top level international athletes from Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia.

Meditation Process – Four Steps

My meditation process  is in four steps…

Score Performance As A Precise Measurement Tool For Your Psychological Strength Level.

Many choose to practice Olympic style target shooting because of the promising development of psychological skills, mental awareness, mind and body development.

Yes, all those aspects are extremely valuable in this athletic discipline and progress can be measured as simple as your score performance goes up. Many participants spent a lot of sources (time, money, and energy) toward Olympic pistols at the same time software (level of understanding specific details in the process with fine motor and muscular control skills) stays untouched for years. Even if something is noticed to be missing in the knowledge database, it is not recognized as a first priority issue.

There are three parts of an athlete’s development process: Faith, Determination, and Self-discipline.

Faith – an athlete must believe in himself (not only in his trusted equipment or brand).

Determination – an athlete must have clear goals in his development and a written plan of development where the educational part is one of main sources toward the final destination.

Self discipline – no one can force you to do what you choose to achieve in your life. This is part of your life development. In this discipline, there are not too many restrictions by age. You can become a true Olympic athlete at any age if you understand what you are doing,  if you are self sufficient and self motivated, and if you have the right set of knowledge (software), not only tools (Olympic style pistols and other hardware) are widely available and relatively easy to purchase.

Choose right and measure your success and progress by score performance.

Remember competition is only a stepping stone to your final goal. If you find that some area of your performance is suffering, this is not a point of unhappiness, but a clear area of future development. You will be rewarded not for the enthusiastic start of the investment in your tools and equipment, but in the investment in your self development, skills, and knowledge at the same proportion at least.

Best competitive performance to all!
