“Cannot dive due to previously undiagnosed medical condition”

“Cannot dive due to previously undiagnosed medical condition”

I came across an interesting observation. Since I became involved in scuba diving since last year, I started to pay more attention to this industry and at the people who share similar activities with me. Since last month, I started to pay attention to which equipment I should buy for my son who indicated some interest in scuba diving.

I also came across some interesting stories; people are willing to sell their equipment that is worth over $2,000.00 for as low as 10% of the initial value that they paid six month earlier.  The motivation besides these decisions is pretty interesting. People make emotional decisions to spend over $2,000.00 on equipment, even when they did not complete the Open Water certification. They did only a few dives in the pool and decided that this activity is not what they are willing to pursue. Some of them discovered previously unknown medical conditions; I do not blame them for this.

How is this not different from our sport where people are purchasing $2,000.00 pistols without even allocating money for education? Can this activity be fun without proper knowledge? Definitely not. My sincere advice for someone who is looking to heavily invest in equipment in Olympic style target shooting, think about education which should be part of your future success and enjoyment.

Beautiful Targets from Last Week in Air Pistol Practice

I would like to share one of our group member’s beautiful targets from last week in Air Pistol practice. I am expecting from each of you a similar performance sooner or later. One of his qualities that acquired this progress in a very short period of time was his attention to each word of my descriptions. To have a similar performance, it requires a 100% of understanding and meticulously following my directions.

How do you recognize which advice you should follow?

One off the biggest challenges after taking my class is to get influenced by the people (some coaches or athletes) with a preconditioned mindset or limit of their current set of knowledge and experience regardless of their involvement in this sport.
How do you recognize which advice you should follow?

I’m providing three months of support after my class to help my new students make the new set of knowledge permanent. I still do not have complete control of the situation; there is always the chance that someone who appears as authority may influence his performance. This is why I’m offering a few further steps in continuing education, such as the advanced level and Master class. All levels are offered with Free evaluation and 3-12 months of my support.

Someday, more people will realize that to travel to the National Championship of any country and spend $1,000 each time while performing the same low score over and over again is a pointless activity. There is only one way to change this sequence; it is to change their initial approach to get what they want.
You cannot wish; you have to do something about it. Some new set of knowledge can be an option.

My goal is simple: 570 in Air Pistol can be a reachable goal for any healthy and motivated individual in a period of time within one year.
570 in AP can secure a position inthe National finals in many countries.
To score 570 in AP for a healthy and motivated individual, they do not need any talent, just a correct set of knowledge, motivation and hard work!

My goal is help you to get this score perfomance level of 570 in Air Pistol Olympic Style  with less amount of problems and shortest way possible.

Education Toward My Devoted Activity

scuba certification

Education is the key.

During the process to obtain my SCUBA open water certification and make a
knowledgeable decision about which equipment I need to buy, I went through the
mandatory class education and pool training to build knowledge, skills and
confidence.

In controversy to this sport, many athletes are going to
avoid “unnecessary” steps, such as education toward their devoted activity
because they think they naturally have talent. This is the state of mind where
most of problems begin.

“One question I have is what are your differences to Training and Practice? What is involved in each?”

“One question I have is what are your differences to Training and Practice? What is involved in each?”

I will not make a big deal of meaning of those words because the meaning will lead to a description of your time invested in your desire to achieve a certain score performance or goal in Olympic style target shooting.

What you do with this time, how you organize it, how you can identify priorities in different areas of your routine, and how you manage your sources (time, mental or physical energy, and money) is more important. Do you have enough knowledge to achieve your goal? For me, in each day, in each hour, and in each shot, I’m trying work on a certain objective.

Very often, I see people doing something at the shooting range and describing those activities as practice or training. The majority of them cannot even name the fundamentals or tell you the meaning of them and what to do to improve them, but they will always be happy to talk with you about the difference between practice and training or subconscious performance in our sport. It is does not matter how I name my time at the shooting range, at home, at a mountain bike trail, or even a yoga center. Practice or training is my purposely invested time toward my goal with the intention to improve my performance in different areas (physical part, mental part, technical part, and the development of a perfect shot routine). Those words have similar meaning to me. I will not ask any of my students this question because each of you made the initial decision to learn the meaning of your activities, but many other people around you did not; they will spend the same amount of time with you on the shooting range, making holes in the target while trying to have a philosophical discussion with you on the meaning those words.

Comments:

“Every Sunday at 9am on the 25m range it is advertised as ISSF Training. In fact it is nothing more then Centrefire/Sport or Standard Pistol Match. There is no training it is just shoot a match. The scores have not changed in 3 years averaging 520-550. But no one will change so I left them to practice and did my own thing.”  Tony.
